THE Philippines is ready to extend assistance to Morocco, which was hit by a 6.8-magnitude earthquake on Friday, September 8, 2023, said President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.

“The Filipino people are deeply saddened to learn of the devastating 6.8-magnitude earthquake that has tragically claimed over 2,000 lives in Morocco. We stand in grief and solidarity with you, and our prayers go to the families affected by this tragedy,” Marcos said in a statement.

“The Philippines is ready to offer assistance and any support that may be needed for the swift recovery of your nation,” he added.
