A 25-year-old man who allegedly stole a motorcycle that was parked in Barangay Kamagayan, Cebu City was apprehended in a hot pursuit operation.
The suspect was identified as James Gonzales, from Barangay Cogon Ramos in the said city.
Kurt Moleta, a 24-year-old student from Barangay Tungkop, Minglanilla town and owner of the Yamaha Fino motorcycle worth P35,000, immediately called the police after discovering the theft around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
Police responded to a call and later arrested the suspect.
Gonzales will be charged with violating Republic Act 10883 or the "New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016." (RJM)
