CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The city government of Pasig on Thursday donated P1-million calamity financial assistance to the provincial government of Pampanga.
Representatives of Pasig City’s Office of the Mayor and City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office turned over to Governor Dennis Pineda the P1-million cheque during their visit at the provincial Capitol.
Ipinrioritize po talaga namin ang mga probinsyang nangangailangan ng tulong," Executive Assistant to the Office of the City Mayor Attorney Bernice Mendoza said.
Mendoza said Pampanga had been prioritized for assistance due to the various calamities that had beset the province in recent months.
Pineda expressed his appreciation for the kindness and generosity shown by the people of Pasig City toward the Kapampangans.
He added that the assistance received would be utilized to procure additional medicines and essential goods for those affected by recent calamities.
