A 19-YEAR-OLD man was arrested during a buy-bust in Sitio Doña Pepang, Barangay Tejero, Cebu City past 2 a.m. on Friday, September 15, 2023.
The suspect was identified Phillip Justine Ruiz, a resident of Sitio Zapanta Villagonzalo 1 in the said barangay.
Seized from him were packets of suspected shabu weighing 20 grams and valued at P136,000, a .38 revolver with three live rounds and a hand grenade.
According Police Major Efren dela Cruz Diaz Jr., the chief of Waterfront Police Station, which has jurisdiction over barangay Tejero, the suspect was on the police’s list of high value individuals because of his involvement in illegal drug operations.
Diaz said Ruiz was named as the suspect in the shooting incidents in Sitio Zapanta, Barangay Tejero last July 30 and in Sitio Silangan 1, Barangay Tinago last September 3.(AYB, TPT)
