WANITA, a Cebu-based indie band, will be releasing its first single on Sept. 29, 2023.
The single will be available locally at exactly 12 midnight on Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music and all other online music streaming platforms.
Titled “Would You?”, this Wanita single is a feel-good pop love song that’ll have you slow-dancing the night away with your significant other.
Wanita is composed of 24-year-old Kriv Viagedor on vocals and rhythm guitar, 23-year-old Jan Arias on drums, 23-year-old Renjee Salusod on bass guitar and 18-year-old Arth on lead guitar. The band derives its essence from the beautiful name “Juanita,” a heartfelt tribute to the nurturing embrace of Jan’s mother. By embracing the letter “W” in place of “Ju,” they honor the magnificence of “Juanita,” a name that resonates deeply with their spirits.
The “W” symbolizes the profound connection they share with the extraordinary women in their lives—their cherished mothers.
The band’s release will be under Cebu-based indie label startup Talkback Records, recorded at Capital Dreams Recording Studio with post-production, mixing and mastering work done by Earmark Sonic Solutions. / PR
