BRIGADIER General Alvin Luzon, commander of the 101st Infantry Brigade, checked the readiness of the troops in their respective areas of jurisdiction in preparation for the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).

Luzon, who is also the Joint Task Force (JTF)-Basilan commander, visited the troops deployed in different parts of Basilan province and met with various unit commanders on Saturday, September 16.

During the visit, the Bravo Battery Company of the 1st Field Artillery Battalion and the 14th Division Reconnaissance Company (DRC) presented their planning, preparations, troop deployment, and capabilities.

“Both companies demonstrated their commitment to ensuring a peaceful, secure, and credible election,” Luzon said in a statement on Sunday, September 17.

Luzon delivered his guidance and conveyed his heartfelt gratitude for the troops' steadfast service with discipline and fervor to the Basileños.

Meanwhile, he also visited the island municipality of Tabuan Lasa and paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Moner Manisan on Thursday, September 14.

The visit focused on enhancing security, promoting peace and stability, and fostering sustainable development in the municipality of Tabuan Lasa.
