THE Cebu City Government will impose a liquor ban within the 100-meter radius of the two examination venues during the bar examination, following the request from the Office of the Bar Chairperson.

The designated local testing centers in the city are the University of San Jose-Recoletos Basak campus and University of San Carlos downtown campus.

Acting Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia issued Executive Order (EO) 21 on Friday, Sept. 15, 2023.

Under the EO, the liquor ban will take effect from midnight to 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 17; midnight to 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20; and midnight to 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 24.

The ban prohibits any person from consuming alcoholic beverages within the designated radius. Furthermore, business establishments are prohibited from serving intoxicating liquor within their premises during the given time and dates.

Violators will be penalized for public drunkenness in accordance with Ordinance 512.
