CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Vice Governor Lilia Pineda gathered some 300 Kapampangans with neurological disorders for medical checkups from mental health professionals over the weekend.

The medical checkups were held at the Escolastica Romero District Hospital in Lubao town.

The vice governor highlighted the importance of looking into Kapampangans' mental health.

She said that mental health should be given attention as more Kapampangans are afflicted with neurological problems.

The patients also received free medicine, cash and half cavan of rice.

The mental health checkup is part of the regular activities of the "Alagang Nanay Preventive Healthcare Program" of Governor Dennis Pineda, Vice Governor Pineda and members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
