K-POP singer and actress Sandara Park, also known as Dara, expressed her disappointment with the cancellation of her K-pop concert in Cebu City that was scheduled on September 23, 2023.
In a post on X (Twitter) on Sunday, September 17, 2023, Park said: "I’m so sad and sorry for my fans coz of the Cebu concert. I’m also very very sad and disappointed with what happened. I was preparing a lot for the show. But there is always next time so pls. I hope you guys are OK and don’t forget I’ll always be here for my Daralings and Blackjacks."
The concert, dubbed "Awake: A New Beginning in Cebu," was supposed to take place at the City Di Mare event grounds in South Road Properties in Cebu City.
Organizers, however, announced the cancellation on Friday, September 15, 2023, due to "unforeseen circumstances" and "unpredictable weather condition."
Other K-pop artists that were supposed to perform at the concert were AB6IX, Viviz, Younite, 1MILLION, and MB Crew. (LMY)
