The local and national government employees, volunteers from the private sector, and students took part in the coastal and community cleanup in San Carlos City last Sept. 16.

Said event was part of the celebration of the 123rd Philippine Civil Service anniversary, International Cleanup Day, and National Cleanup Day.

The City Environment Management Office (CEMO) led the activity with areas covered include the riverbanks, roadsides, and shorelines.

More than 190 sacks of residual wastes like plastic bottles, plastic wrappers, clothes, packaging materials, diapers, and construction materials, were collected during the one-day activity. (PR)
