The Provincial Government of Negros Occidental turned over a plucker machine to the United Negros Island Rabbit Meat Producers (UNI-RaMP) at the Capitol on Monday, Sept. 19.

The Plucker Machine is a post-harvest support of the provincial government through the Provincial Veterinary Office to poultry raisers and other organized farmers group to make their enterprise more profitable and productive.

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson turned over the new equipment to UNI-RaMP led by Joevil Doren.

The equipment is usually used to remove feathers from chickens and ducks and can reduce the feather removal time and cost into half.

It is easy to clean up and the precision provides optimum plucking results with minimum or incidental damage to the skin.

The same machine can also be used by rabbit raisers in producing quality rabbit meat.

Present during the turnover are the officers and members of the UNI-RaMP, Provincial Veterinary Office Head Dr. Placeda Lemana and staff. (PR)
