A WOMAN got wounded after she was stabbed by her husband allegedly out of envy.
The incident occurred around 9 p.m. Monday, September 18, 2023, in Barangay Malabago, Moalboal town, southwest Cebu.
The victim was identified as Rebecca Gako Temblor, 56.
Her husband, Wilfredo, 57, was named as the culprit.
Joreden, the couple's son, revealed during an investigation by Police Senior Master Sergeant Estewart Bayang that Wilfredo easily got jealous after suffering from a stroke and that he wanted to take his wife with him everywhere he went.
On Monday night, Joreden said they heard their parents bickering inside their home.
They heard their mother screaming and when they checked, they discovered that the suspect had already stabbed their mother in the chest and armpit.
The victim was rushed to the Badian District Hospital before being transferred to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City for further treatment.
The Balamban police arrested the suspect, who will be facing a case for frustrated parricide. (DVG/TPT)
