THE Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF), scheduled for September 23 to 24 in Monkayo, Davao de Oro, is expected to benefit approximately 41,000 residents.
This marks the inaugural BPSF event for the Davao Region, which will be spread across various areas in Monkayo, particularly in Poblacion. Over 40 government agencies are set to participate in this open-for-all event.
Joy Dela Cruz, a lawyer from the Office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives and part of the BPSF National Secretariat, highlighted the diverse range of government services that will be available. These include social services, livelihood support, regulatory assistance, and educational services.
Among the government agencies participating are the Department of Social Welfare and Development (for financial assistance), the Department of Agriculture (for equipment turnover and fertilizer distribution), the Department of Trade and Industry, the Department of Labor and Employment, and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (offering livelihood and educational seminars and incentives), among others.
The event is expected to deliver approximately P80 million of assistance to its beneficiaries.
“Ang misyon po natin ay ihatid sa ating mga kababayan at maipakilala sa ating mga kababayan ang mga programa at services ng ating gobyerno (Our mission is to deliver and introduce the programs and services of our government to our fellow countrymen),” Dela Cruz said during the Kapehan sa PIA at SM City Davao, September 18.
President Bongbong Marcos Jr. spearheads the BPSF, a significant step towards enhancing unity and bringing government services closer to the people.
The Bagong Pilipinas, part of President Marcos' leadership campaign, aims to drive "deep and fundamental transformations in all sectors of society and government," as outlined in Memorandum Circular No. 24, s. 2023. ICE
