THE Core Pacific Money Exchange-2K and the Speed Demon Vivant-94/95/96 booked their spots in the best-of-three semifinals of the 26th Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association (SHAABAA) basketball tournament after they disposed of their respective opponents in the playoffs on Sept. 17, 2023 at the Magis Eagles Arena.

Team 2000 eliminated the Yangtze Cooling Ice Systems-1992, 79-72, while 94/95/96 manhandled the SENTRAL Bar & Lounge-2002, 90-49.

Team 94/95/96 did not take long to assert themselves against their foes, as they led 24-8 after the first and pushed their lead to a high of 47, 86-39, before cruising to the easy win.

Tonyson Luther Lee had 19 points and 15 rebounds for 94/95/96, while Junie Alejandro tallied 16 points, four rebounds, and four assists. Paulsen Uy added 13 markers for 94/95/96, which now moves on to battle the ARQ-2001 in a best-of-three showdown.

Meanwhile, Johaness Chua and Glenn Ocampo had 17 points apiece to spark 2000 to the victory. Serg Al Go Bui had 13 points and 15 rebounds, while Joseph Lo missed out on a triple-double with 12 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists.

Batch 2000 will next take on the top-seeded Bayfront Hotel-90/97 in the semifinals. / JNP
