Dengue cases in Negros Occidental down by 80.38% this year

The Provincial Health Office (PHO) reported a significant decrease in dengue cases in Negros Occidental this year compared to last year.

PHO record showed a drop of 80.38 percent from January to September 16 this year with 4,412 cases compared to the same period last year with 5,489 cases.

Six deaths have been reported this year.

San Carlos City has the most number of cases with 132 and two deaths, followed by Bago City with 119 cases and one death.

Silay City has 86 cases with one death, while Talisay City has 54 cases.*
