A WANTED person was arrested in a buy-bust in Sitio Ilaya, Barangay Cawayan, Dalaguete town, southern Cebu at 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2023.
The suspect was identified as Renante Cosio alias Bolanting, 43, a resident of the said place.
The anti-illegal drug operation was carried out by the operatives of Dalaguete Police Station headed by Police Executive Master Sergeant Edmund Pellerin.
The police seized 11 packets of alleged shabu, P500 buy-bust money, and .45 and 9mm pistols with three live rounds each from the suspect.
It was discovered that Cosio had a pending arrest warrant for illegal possession of firearms issued by Judge Noel Darren Damian of Regional Trial Court branch 26 based in Argao town, with P120,000 bail bond recommended for his temporary liberty.
Cosio will be charged with breaking Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and the Comelec gun ban.(DVG, TPT)
