PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula cop tops police officer exam

A PERSONNEL assigned with the headquarters of the Police Regional Office (PRO)-Zamboanga Peninsula has topped the latest National Police Commission (Napolcom) Police Officer 4th Class Examination.

The PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula named the personnel as Patrolwoman Fatima Al-hamra Kalayakan, who topped the examination with a score of 88.25 percent.

Kalayakan is presently assigned at Regional Community Affairs Development Division of PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula headquarters.

The PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula said the humble officer is a registered criminologist who also topped her licensure examination in 2016.

Police Brigadier General Bowenn Joey Masauding, acting PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula director, lauded the feat of Kalayakan.

“I am immensely proud of this achievement. Let this be an encouragement to all personnel to strive hard for excellence,” Masauding said.   

A total of 2,332 police officers have passed the 4th class examination given in June 2023 for Police Corporal and Police Staff Sergeant based on the announcement of Napolcom.

The promotional examination given by Napolocm is an eligibility, which police officers may use during the filing of promotion to the next higher rank. (SunStar Zamboanga)
