Miami, Amsterdam, and Vienna competed the semifinals cast of the Chooks to Go FIBA 3x3 World Tour Cebu Masters after they got past their respective opponents in the quarterfinals on Sunday at the SM Seaside City Cebu Mountain Wing.

Miami defeated San Juan, 21-17, as Canyon Barry—the son of NBA legend Rick Barry—nearly had a flawless performance, going 6-of-7 from the field to finish with nine points and two rebounds.

Miami led, 19-13, but San Juan rallied to trim the deficit to three, 19-16, after a basket by Luis Cuascut. Barry pushed Miami’s lead to 20-16, but San Juan scored again to keep the game within reach. However, former NBA guard Jimmer Fredette rose to the occasion and scored a short jumper to give Miami the win.

Fredette finished with five points.

Meanwhile, Amsterdam denied Ulaanbaatar, 21-15, in a highly-physical match. Worthy de Jong scored 10 points to lead Amsterdam to the next round.

Amsterdam led, 17-11, but Ulaanbaatar kept it close, thanks to Steve Sir’s prolific shotmaking. But Amsterdam proved too much with de Jong closing the game out with a layup.

Norbert Thelissen helped Amsterdam out with seven points.

Vienna was the last to qualify to the semifinals after they slipped past Wuxi, 21-17.

The semifinals will see Ub Huishan taking on Miami, while Amsterdam battles Vienna.

The winner of this tournament will bag $40,000.
