Vivant unit to expand renewable energy portfolio with solar firm deal

THE retail energy arm of publicly listed Vivant Corp. has tapped a renewable energy developer to serve customers who want clean and sustainable sources.

Vivant Corp. received notice from wholly owned subsidiary Vivant Energy Corp. (Vivant Energy) that its licensed retail energy arm COREnergy Inc. (COREnergy) signed a 20-year power supply agreement with Samal Solar Renewable Energy Corp. (SSREC).

Renewable energy developer SSREC is in the process of developing a solar power project with a total capacity of 52 MWdc (megawatts of direct current) in Barangay Samal, Bataan, Philippines.

SSREC is one of several renewable energy projects of Tigon Power Corp., which was represented during the power supply agreement signing by its president Mayleen Ting and board chairman Elon Ting. (PR)
