AT LEAST 14 candidates are vying for the Mutya ning Porac 2023.
The candidates received their sashes on September 30 from event organizers and local government officials.
The sashing ceremonies were attended by Porac Vice Mayor Francis “Budoy” Tamayo; Councilors Jovy Venzon, Joy David, and Myla Clarete; Municipal Tourism Officer and Mutya ning Porac Co-chairman Gem Marimla; Mutya ning Porac Creative Head and Co-chairman Robert Canlas; and village chiefs.
Mayor Jaime “Jing” Capil’s wife Leny Capil is the Mutya ning Porac 2023 chairperson.
Former Mutya ning Porac Stephanie Escaler was also present during the event.
The 14 candidates of Mutya ning Porac 2023 are Aira Tansiangco - Barangay Babo Pangulo; Dayna Micaela Salalila - Barangay Babo Sacan; Lyka Soria - Barangay Hacienda Dolores; Mhariel-Ann Atis - Barangay Mancatian; Francine Miclat - Bgry. Manibaug Libutad; Rio Victoria Ocampo - Barangay Manibaug Paralaya; Frances Allein Lapira - Barangay Manibaug Pasig; Jomil Carren Canlas - Barangay Palat; Joyce Clarys Umayao - Barangay Pio; Ana Clarisse Garcia - Barangay Planas; Ma. Jasmine Banal - Barangay Pulung Santol; Nicole Mallari - Barangay San Jose Mitla; Cristine Aira Dalangiin - Barangay Santa Cruz; and Crystal Jade Pasion - Barangay Sepung Bulaun.
The grand coronation night is set for November 18, 2023, as part of the town’s Binulu Festival.
