CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- More than 100 volunteers from various offices of the provincial government of Pampanga, government agencies, and the private sector came together for the second DELTAnim tree planting program over the weekend in Mabalacat City.
The project was initiated by Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, and the Provincial Board.
Participants braved the challenging 15-20 minute trek to reach the planting site in Sitio Haduan, Barangay Marcos Village, with the help of Pampanga environment office
personnel led by Art Punzalan.
More than 200 fruit bearing trees were planted under the DELTAnim project which aims to preserve natural resources in the province.
