CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The provincial government of Pampanga led members and officers of various cooperatives in the province at the other day for the celebration of "Cooperative Month" with the theme "Cooperative: Pioneering the Path to Recovery Amidst Modern Challenges of Climate Change and Food Security."
On behalf of Governor Dennis Pineda, Third District Board Member Ananias Canlas Jr. thanked the Cooperative Development Authority in guiding cooperatives.
The Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office (PCEDO) said there are 176 compliant cooperatives in the entire province with 46,554 members and total assets of P4.7 billion.
Cooperative Month is celebrated every October by virtue of Proclamation No. 493, s. 2023 by former President and now Pampanga 2nd District Representative Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
Also present on the occasion were Board Members Fritzie David Dizon and Benny Jocson, PCEDO officer in charge Lulu Alingcastre.
