MEXICO — Newly-installed Vice Mayor Susana “Site” Siron of this town vowed to push for a legislative agenda that will improve the welfare of the residents here.
Siron, a neophyte councilor prior to assuming the vice-mayoralty post, said uplifting the lives of fellow Mexico people has been her goal since she started public service as a chairwoman of Barangay Camuning.
Siron was designated as vice mayor after newly-installed Mayor Rudencio “Ruding” Gonzales assumed the local chief executive post.
This, following the dismissal of former Mayor Teddy Tumang in August this year.
She added that she will also put emphasis on health programs to ensure the over-all well-being of every resident in town.
As the first woman to occupy the vice mayoral seat, Siron said she is determined to overcome all challenges about her gender and perform her mandate as the second top official of her town.
She is calling for the unity of fellow officials and Mexicanos as they work together in spurring development in their town.
