SOCIAL media personality "Ligaya" of Team Hamloy was released from prison on Monday, October 2, after her partner, Tagum City Councilor and content creator Leo Revita, pardoned her for allegedly stealing around P200,000.
In the video posted on the Team Hamloy page, it can be seen that Ligaya immediately hugged Revita when she got out of cell. The two became emotional.
The councilor earlier said she still has compassion for her assistant but she needed to put her in prison so that she can realize the wrong she had done.
On Wednesday, September 27, 2023, Revita had Ligaya arrested at the Tagum City Police Station after it was proven that she was responsible for stealing the contents of the councilor's e-wallet amounting to almost P200,000.
Revita went live during the event on their official Facebook page, where she confirmed that Ligaya was indeed imprisoned after many have speculated that it was just part of their content.
According to Revita, her patience with Ligaya ran out because of how many times she has stolen money, the most recent of which was by the use of the councilor's Gcash.
When Ligaya was released, the councilor gave her money worth around P10,000 so that she has something to use for her needs.
The councilor said the incident should serve as a lesson not only for Ligaya but for everyone as well.
Revita also said that giving a second chance comes with many lessons.
Ligaya is set to return to their vlogging to create more of their content and to give advice on the important things they experienced while she was in the cell. JPC
