AUTHORITIES have arrested a drug suspect and seized more than P140,000 worth of illegal drugs in a buy-bust operation in Lanao del Sur, the police reported Wednesday, October 4.
Police Colonel Robert Daculan, Lanao del Sur police director, identified the arrested suspect as Cairoding Bangcorong, a resident of Sugod proper village, Marawi City.
Daculan said Bangcorong was arrested in an anti-drug operation around 4 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, in Sugod proper village.
He said seized from the suspect were some 20.8 grams of suspected shabu packed in four heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets worth P141,440, a motorcycle, a driver’s license, a smart phone, and buy-bust money.
He said the arrested suspect was detained in preparation for the filing of appropriate charges against him for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (SunStar Zamboanga)
