THE Army’s 1st Infantry Division (ID) has initiated changes in the chiefs of the two significant staff positions of the command.

Lieutenant Colonel Manaros Boransing has been designated as the new assistant chief of staff for civil-military operations (CMO) replacing Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Caro, who served as acting chief of the same office. The latter will now continue to be the deputy of the CMO office.

Lieutenant Colonel Franco Raphael Alano has been assigned as the new assistant chief of staff for education and training replacing Lieutenant Colonel Rommel Cabanayan.

The Joint Change of Office Ceremony was held at the Officer’s Clubhouse of the 1ID with Colonel Antonio John Divinagracia, 1ID assistant division commander as the presiding officer on behalf of the 1ID commander.

Both Alano and Boransing thanked the command for the trust and confidence and vowed to work with the best of their abilities and expertise.

Divinagracia advised the newly appointed two chief of offices to show the same passion and dedication in the performance of duty.

“I am confident that the two incoming chiefs, with their experiences and capabilities, will steer the offices and can contribute to the accomplishment of the mission of the command,” Divinagracia said.

“Let us look forward to achieving our mandate and always bear in mind the duties and responsibilities we hold.” Divinagracia added. (SunStar Zamboanga)
