A CONSTRUCTION worker charged with 21 counts of rape was arrested in a law enforcement operation in Zamboanga City, the police reported Sunday, October 8, 2023.
The Zamboanga City Police Station 8 (ZCPS8) identified the arrested suspect as Lowie Buganotan, 33, a construction worker and a resident of Purok 9 in Sinunuc village, west of Zamboanga City.
The ZCPS8 said Buganotan was arrested in a law enforcement operation by way of service of warrant of arrest around 9:47 a.m. Saturday in Putik village, east of Zamboanga City.
The police said Buganotan has a pending warrant of arrest for 21 counts of rape with no recommended bail issued by a family court on September 25, 2023.
The arrested accused was placed under the custody of ZCPS8 for proper disposition. (SunStar Zamboanga)
