The Pastoral Visit of Prior General Fray Miguel Ángel Hernández Domínguez, OAR and Fray Luciano Audisio Matias, OAR, Secretary General, to University of San Jose- Recoletos (USJ-R) Cebu on October 5, 2023, began with a Eucharistic celebration at the USJ-R chapel, followed by breakfast with the religious community led by USJ-R president Fr. Edcel Celis, OAR. The religious and selected laity then gathered at the USJ-R Center for Performing Arts auditorium for an interactive conference.

Prior General Fray Miguel Ángel Hernández Domínguez, OAR, met with the Augustinian Recollect community in Cebu, including the friars, AR sisters, school administrators, Josenian students, faculty members, and office professionals at the Center for Performing Arts. As the highest official in the Order of Augustinian Recollects, the Prior General addressed concerns raised by the audience in an open forum. He urged the teachers to be good shepherds to the students. For the students, he encouraged them to be resilient as they live in a competitive world and strive to find dignified employment after graduation.
Earlier, the Prior General was welcomed with a series of performances from the Adelante Dance Troupe and the Liturgical Yodelers Recoletos.
