AdDU grad Top 10 in CPA licensure exam

A GRADUATE from Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU) made it as one of the topnotchers in the September 2023 Licensure Examination for Certified Public Accountants (CPA).

Neshel Gustillo Sinco garnered a score of 88.33, securing the 10th spot with two other examinees from Far Eastern University-Manila (FEU-Manila) and Kingfisher School of Business and Finance in Lucao, Pangasinan.

AdDu produced 76 passers out of 147 examinees during the recent CPA licensure exam, garnering a 51.7 percent passing rate.

Other notable schools in Davao City have also produced CPAs during the same examination. The University of Mindanao-Davao City (UM-Davao City) got 52.88 percent passing rate; the University of Immaculate Conception earned 33.33 percent passing rate, the Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) garnered 28.57 percent passing rate, Jose Maria College (JMC) with 16.67 percent passing rate, and Philippine College of Technology (PCT) with 14.29 percent.

No school had made it to the top performing schools based on the Professional Regulations Commission’s (PRC) criteria.

PRC announced on October 6 that 2,740 out of 8,734 takers successfully passed the Sept. 2023 CPA licensure exams given by the Board of Accountancy in National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio City, Butuan City, Cagayan de Oro City, Calapan, Cebu City, Davao City, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian City, Palawan, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga which were held on Sept, 30, Oct. 1 and 2, 2023.

Both Allaine Beduya Collamar of the University of the Philippines-Visayas (Tacloban) and Hebban Talib Tawantawan of the University of San Jose-Recoletos got 91.17 percent on the exam to place first.
