THE provincial government of Basilan has launched on Tuesday, October 10, “cattle and carabao dispersal” livelihood program benefitting 100 beneficiaries.
Basilan Governor Hadjiman Hataman-Salliman led the distribution of cattle and carabao held at the compound of the Provincial Veterinarian Office in Sumagdang village, Isabela City, where most of the recipients came from the different municipalities and cities of the province.
Dr. Sham Aguisanda, Basilan provincial veterinarian, joined Salliman in the distribution of the livestock.
In a message, Salliman emphasized that the cattle and carabao dispersal program is an annual activity of his administration to assist the farmer-beneficiaries in their livelihood.
Salliman said his administration will step up its livelihood program as the economic activities of Basilan is now bouncing back to normal after the pandemic.
Lawyer Jay Hataman-Salliman and Moumar Muarip, both provincial board members, Provincial Administrator Manny Muarip and Provincial Agriculturist Surhaida Aguisanda witnessed the distribution of cattle and carabaos to the identified recipients.(SunStar Zamboanga)
