AUTHORITIES have arrested a high-value individual (HVI) and seized P1.5 million worth of illegal drugs in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City, the police reported Wednesday, October 11, 2023.
Police Colonel Alexander Lorenzo, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) director, identified the arrested HVI as Edmar Sakilan Suhaili, 27, a tricycle driver, and a resident of Sitio Caragasan in Maasin village.
Suhaili was nabbed in the operation conducted around 1:55 a.m. Wednesday, October 11, at Zone 5 in Tulungatung village.
Seized from him were 234.81 grams of substance believed to be shabu worth P1,596,708, P1,000 marked money, and 49 pieces of P1,000 boodle money.
Lorenzo said the suspect and the seized pieces of evidence were placed under the custody of ZCPO in preparation for the filing of a case for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 against Suhaili. (SunStar Zamboanga)
