Man hurt after being stabbed due to jealousy

A BAKER sustained a wound in his neck after being stabbed due to jealousy.

The incident happened around 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2023, near the Buaya barangay hall in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

The victim was identified as Estilito Ortega, 29, from Barangay Buaya, while the suspect was identified as Andryboy Laparan, 29, a native of Bukidnon.

According to the investigation by Lapu-Lapu Police Station 5 under the direction of station commander Police Major Dexter Basergo, the victim was stabbed by Laparan while walking home from work with his live-in partner.

The victim was taken to the hospital, while the suspect fled and is still being sought by the police.

It was learned that Laparan had previously lived with Ortega's live-in lover. (DVG/TPT)
