A VEGETABLE vendor was shot dead by an unidentified man at the Metro Circle on Magallanes Street, Davao City on Wednesday night.
The victim was identified as Jullicar Hioca, alias Hapon, 18, a resident of Purok 7, Riverside Magallanes, Barangay 2-A Poblacion.
San Pedro Police Station duty investigator Danilo Alngog said the victim was laying out his farm products at the Farmers Market Center at around 8:30 p.m. when shot dead.
Hioca was declared dead by responding paramedics of the Central 911 and Scene of the Crime Operatives led by Senior Inspector Felino Brunia.
The body of the victim was brought to the Angel Funeral Homes.
Police recovered four empty shells of a caliber .22 gun at the crime scene.
According to witnesses, the gunman, described to be around 5'4", medium built and covered his face with a shirt, fled towards Bankerohan Bridge.
Police are still conducting investigations to determine the motive of the crime. (AD)
