SARANGANI Representative Manny Pacquiao said it's an honor for him to administer the oath of office of his good friend Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia.
Leonardia will take his oath before Pacquiao at 5 p.m. Saturday at the New Government Center.
Pacquiao arrived in Bacolod City Friday with his wife Jinkee.
He said he is so excited to revisit Bacolod, the city which adopted him several years ago because of the feat and honor he gave to the country.
Pacquiao said it is his own way of reciprocating the good deeds of his friend Mayor Leonardia, who has been with him in most of his fights abroad, being the championship belt bearer.
He added that it is a pleasure for him to honor the local chief executive after gracing his inauguration recently held at General Santos.
Among the other honorary guests of the Leonardia's inaugural are Senator Franklin Drilon, Mayor Jesse M. Robredo and Madam Gretchen Cojuangco.
Leonardia said the event is an inauguration of everybody, as all elected officials of Bacolod will take their oath office with him.
