CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Police on Sunday recovered a sports utility vehicle reportedly stolen in Malate, Metro Manila recently.
Sindalan police commander Fernando Lansangan said that the black Isuzu Sportivo with license plates VBY 320 was recovered at a mango farm in Purok Mabalas, Barangay Calulut here.
Calulut barangay councilor Abelardo Yumul, a former police officer, reported to police that the vehicle was found by children playing in the area.
"Konpirmado na karnap nga yung sasakyan at iniwanan talaga yun dun ng mga suspek habang naghahanap sila ng buyer," Lansangan said.
The vehicle is registered under the name of one Cecilia Marie Sison Aumentado of 517 Talisay Street, Ayala Alabang Village, City of Muntinglupa.
Lansangan said they have already informed Aumentado about the incident.
"We are just waiting for the response of the owner," Lansangan said.
He said that they are conducting an investigation to establish the identity of the suspects including their whereabouts.
