A BROTHER of New People's Army leader Leoncio Pitao was tagged as the triggerman in the murder of a female trader at Isla Verde, Barangay 23-C Poblacion, Davao City, Sunday evening.
A witness positively identified Dario Pitao as the one who shot dead Erlinda Villarosa, 56, a vendor.
Acting on the information, police led by Senior Inspector Ranulfo Cabanog had ordered a manhunt operation against Pitao but they have yet to arrest him.
Based on the initial investigation of SP02 Cezar Robles of the Sta. Ana police, Vilarosa succumbed to a gunshot wound in the head.
The witness, who refused to be identified, said the suspect was drunk at that time and figured in an altercation with the victim.
Reports said the suspect had already fled together with his family. (RBB)
