TUCKED away in a quiet, serene part of Boracay, away from the busy party atmosphere, is a private getaway.
This is Sitio Boracay, an exclusive resort designed for those who want a bit of privacy and relaxation but still be located in the heart of Boracay.
The resort’s four interestingly designed villas with their thatched roofs lend a distinctive Asian look to the place.
Its three honeymoon villas each have its own living room with a bar, a bathroom spacious enough to hold a Jacuzzi for two, a shower that brings the outdoors in, and an upstairs bedroom loft. Two family villas can receive up to seven guests.
Upon arrival, one is greeted with a heartfelt welcome at the reception counter which doubles up as an outside bar.
A serene pool and the pleasant sound of water dripping down from cascading falls tempt everyone to take a dip.
At night, a display of colored lights sets the mood for an evening swim or a pleasant dinner at the two cabanas situated by the pool.
Though small and quaint, Sitio Boracay has a kitchen and laundry facilities. The compound is equipped with a generator for the unexpected brownouts the island sometimes experiences.
Plus, the staff is always at your service, ready for any request you may have. (Albert Alvarez)
