Couple launches premium towels

A COUPLE from Manila launched Aquazorb, a premium towel brand, in Cebu.

“We are bringing to Cebu the Aquazorb products so Cebuanos will no longer have to go to Manila to buy these products,” said Pam Cutiongco of Newledge Management Corp., the official distributor of Aquazorb products in Cebu.

Newledge Management Corp. is a newly established company that manages the businesses of Pam and her husband Francis in partnership with couple Chris and Julie Tio. The company also owns Yo-Go Boy, a yogurt parlor in Banilad Town Center (BTC).

Hypoallergenic

Pam said Aquazorb is a local brand that produces towels that are ultra-absorbent, lightweight, and skin friendly. She said Aquazorb towels are made of microfiber fabric that is densely knit for instant absorption. It is gentle to the skin and hypoallergenic.

“Aquazorb towels are ideal for everyday use at home, at the gym and while traveling,” Pam said.

Its Cebu outlet opened in BTC last June 28.

Among its products are bath slippers, bath mats, body wraps, cosmetic remover mitts, head bands, yoga towels, hair turbans and bath towels with prices ranging from P90 to P1,000.

Good response

Pam said since their opening, many Cebuanos have expressed interest in their products. “They now change all their towels at home. So far, we are receiving good response from the Cebuano market,” she said.

Francis said the introduction of the product in Cebu can be attributed to the booming economy of the city and its investor-friendly atmosphere.

“Cebu is a viable place for business especially for distributorship since it is smaller than Manila. Cebu is a good testing ground especially for new businesses because of its upbeat economy,” he said.

He said the company invested P100, 000 for the business.

The Cutiongcos, who now reside in Cebu, plan to expand Aquazorb by opening more outlets in malls this year.
