New police chiefs of Cauayan and Ilog named

NEGROS Occidental PNP director Police Senior Superintendent Manuel Felix has assigned new police chiefs in two towns in the Province of Negros Occidental.

Effective Wednesday, Felix said that Police Senior Inspector Nazer Canja is the new police chief of Cauayan, and Police Inspector Louie Figueroa, a new police chief of Ilog.

Police Chief Inspector Regidor Alvarado, chief of NOPPO's Administrative Branch, said that Canja is a former police chief of Tapaz town in Capiz, and he replaced Figueroa as chief of police of Cauayan, noting that the said order was based in Special Orders No. 83.

He said Figueroa also replaced Police Inspector Antonio Talatala as Ilog PNP chief, and Talatala was reassigned to the Negros Occidental Provincial Public Safety Company.

He noted that earlier, Police Senior Inspector Norberto Barniso was designated officer-in-charge of the Murcia PNP while Police Inspector Ramil Sarona and Police Senior Inspector Danilo Zuniega are the new police chiefs of Calatrava and Toboso, respectively.

Felix personally installed Sarona, Zuniega, Canja and Figueroa to their new assignments while Police Superintendent Armando Tubongbanua supervised Barniso's assumption as Murcia PNP chiefs last June 30.
