DAVAO City's martial arts expert Steve "Red Knight" Grandeza will battle Rommel "Big Daddy" Del in the main event of the Ultimate Strikers Championship (USC) kicking off on July 24 at the SM Bicutan ParaƱaque.
Dubbed the "Ultimate Strikers 5", Grandeza's Team Moo Duk Kwan Davao stablemates Rudy "4k Kevkatchie" Tacogue and Carlo "Redrock" Laude will also bid for honors in undercard bouts.
Team Moo Duk Kwan Davao is coached by Muay Thai Kickboxing Council of the Philippines regional director Edgar Alan Paulino. He will be assisted by multi-titled blackbelt Bryan Grandeza and Jojo Gatmaitan.
MDK top brass Edgardo "Bing" Grandeza is the chief instructor of the team that will leave for Manila on July 22.
Steve Grandeza's World title shot in Dubai, meanwhile, will yet push through in October.
"KO Promotions had to reset the fight under the World Kickboxing Council Federation due to the very hot summer season in Dubai. They chose October when the winter season is about to start," Grandeza told sportswriters recently.
Steve will test the mettle of Al HAddad "Van Damme" Okine of Ghanna in the much-awaited Dubai event. (MLSA)
