MANAGEMENT consultant Ludwig Rieder will talk about the trends and opportunities of community-based tourism at the Sun.Star Economic Forum on July 22.
He holds a degree in economic geography with honors from Sydney University, and a masters degree on science specializing in tourism from the Scottish Business School, University of Strathclyde.
He has over 25 years of experience in private and public sector industry research, policy, planning, development and marketing; in SME business planning, development, and mentoring; and in the design, evaluation and financial packaging of private investments and public sector infrastructure projects in the Asia Pacific Region.
He was Chairman of Challenger International Hotels that he guided to a successful public listing in Australia. He is the co-founder and chairman of Asia Pacific Projects Inc. established in Manila in 1992. Rieder’s clients have included the Asian Development Bank, United Nations World Tourism Organization, bilateral development partners such as AusAID, the Australian Expert Overseas Service Program.
