Barangays Beckel, Wangal, and Bineng are considered landslide-prone areas in Trinidad.

In the past, there was a P20,000 budget yet to be approved for the re-training of officials in 16 barangays on disaster preparedness, first aid and rescue training.

Canuto said the first phase of purchase has been completed composed of rain gear to be used by the MDCC. "Boots and raincoats have been bought," he added.

The municipal administrator said the composition of the MDCC will be announced next week. Currently, Romeo Lopez sits as chairman of MDCC.

Continuous warning has been issued by the MDCC since the onset of the rainy season especially for those still living in slide-prone areas to keep safe.
