RP-Russia business forum set for Oct. 21-24 in CICC

TO promote exchanges between the two countries, Cebu will host the 2nd Philippine-Russian Business Forum and Exhibition on Oct. 21-24 at the Cebu International Convention Center (CICC) in Mandaue City.

According to Philippine consul to Russia Armi Lopez Garcia, the event is being organized to promote tourism, trade, investment and greater economic and socio-cultural exchanges between the Philippines and Russia.

The opening ceremony will be highlighted by the unveiling of the Leo Tolstoy bust, which will be brought here by the Russian delegates.

“This year’s forum promises to be a useful venue for prestigious business groups to network and explore opportunities that will expand trade and investments between the two countries,” said Russian ambassador to the Philippines Vitaly Vorobiev.

The four-day event will feature a Philippine-Russian trade exhibition, an art show, photo exhibit and cultural dances.

The exhibit will showcase products and services related to the following industries: tourism, wellness, trade promotion and development, mining, energy, education, culture, labor, placement services, outsourcing, retirement facilities and real estate development.

Business sessions and roundtable discussions on the different industries will be held simultaneously.

Investors, real estate developers, businessmen, exporters and importers, national government agencies, and local government units from both countries are expected to attend the forum.

Participants will also be toured in cement factories, food manufacturing plants, development areas, beer brewery, export furniture companies, jewelry makers and real estate properties and other industrial sites in Cebu Province. (PR)
