CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Returning fourth district Board Member Ricardo Yabut said recently that he will push for enhanced infrastructure programs for Pampanga province, starting in the barangay level.
Yabut was named to head the Committee on Public Works during the Provincial Board (PB)'s final session.
The top board member was chairman of the board's committee on environment in his previous term.
He told Sun.Star Pampanga that he would bat for much needed infrastructure projects like farm-to-market roads.
"Well, I am not new with the tasks of the committee having implemented public works programs in the district even if I was with the Committee on Environment before. We will start within the barangay level where a lot of roads have to be concreted and paved," he said.
He added that essential farm-to-market roads have to be made to allow for the fast and efficient delivery of products and services.
"Aside from this, we would, of course look into other public works requirements of our constituents. It is a challenging job and we will do our best," Yabut said. (Jovi T. De Leon)
