MANILA -- President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III has yet to come up with the names on who will be composing the two peace panels that will deal with separatist groups in Mindanao.

Presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda on Sunday said the President has not yet discussed the selection of members with Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Teresita "Ging" Deles.

"Still no members yet," he said in a text message.

But with the pending of selection process, several lawmakers have noted some qualities that the members of the peace panels should possess.

"I hope President Aquino will appoint members who are credible as well as acceptable to the other side and to most stakeholders," said Bayan Muna Representative Teddy Casiño in a statement.

For Maguindanao second district Representative Simeon Datumanong, it will be apt that the concerned groups and local government units will be part of the negotiation. (Jill Beltran/Sunnex)
