POLICE arrested an Army soldier and two of his companions following complaints that they harassed and poked a gun on the son of a miner in Quirante II, Barangay Magugpo Poblacion, Tagum City Saturday.
The suspects were identified as Private First Class Haron Rajumuda, 29; Arellano Caragda, 29; and Capelianes Mangandan.
Based on reports gathered from the Tagum City Police Station, the suspects pointed a gun at John Rex Mabuntad, 18, a resident of Barangay Manlamodaw, Maco, Compostela Valley in front of Nomens Gold Smith around 2 p.m. Saturday.
The suspects reportedly wanted to abduct Mabuntad, who is the son of a financier of a small mining operation in Mt. Diwalwal.
Mabuntad said the suspects forced him to ride a motorcycle and drove him around until he was able to seek help.
The victim believed the suspects have evil intentions since his mother was carrying cash from sales proceeds of gold nuggets.
