5 gunmen steal SUV

CAMP OLIVAS - Five unidentified armed men forcibly took a sports utility van in front of the victim's house at St. Jude Village in the City of San Fernando.

A belated report said a Nissan Patrol (CTF-120), owned by Salic Unte, 42, a native of Marawi City and presently residing at St. Paul Street, St. Jude Village was carjacked by five gunmen early dawn Tuesday.

In his report, City of San Fernando chief of police Eden Ugale said that Unte, his wife and brother-in-law just arrived at their residence when the suspects approached them and at gunpoint declared the heist.

The suspects have reportedly tailed them to their residence and also took the handbag of the Unte's wife before they fled towards an unknown direction.

Unte told police that the bag of his wife contains jewelry and cash amounting to P587,000.00

Pampanga Police Provincial Office Officer-In-Charge Petronio Retirado ordered Ugale to intensify its anti-criminality campaign in his area of jurisdiction.

Retirado also directed Ugale to establish checkpoints in strategic areas in the city to ensure that there will be no occurrence of crime incidents in his area of responsibility. (Ric Sapnu)
