NEGROS Occidental Governor Alfredo Maranon Jr. along with the city mayors of the province will be meeting President Benigno Aquino III in Malacañang at 4:00 p.m. Monday.

Silay City Mayor Jose Montelibano said they are expected to discuss concerns of the city mayors around the country, including that of the City Mayor's League of the Philippines, headed by outgoing president Mayor Benjur Abalus.

Montelibano also said that if given a chance to talk personally with Aquino, he will bring up the tourism programs of the city, especially the development of Patag, which is one of the premier tourism destinations in Silay City.

Aside from Montelibano, among the provincial mayors set to meet with Aquino are outgoing league's vice president and Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia, Ramon Torres of Bago City, Juliet Marie Ferrer of La Carlota City, Agustin Bascon of Himamaylan City, Isidro Zayco of Kabankalan City, Oscar Montilla of Sipalay City, Eric Saratan of Talisay City, Patrick Escalante of Cadiz City, Leo Cueva of Sagay City, Melecio Yap of Escalante City, and San Carlos City Mayor Gerardo P.
