MANILA -- Malacanang on Monday deferred the announcement of details regarding the formation of President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III’s communications group.
Members of the communications team will most likely be presented before the media on Wednesday or Thursday.
The structure of the communications group was supposed to be revealed this afternoon, according to an interview of Presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda last Sunday.
But instead of holding press briefing, the Palace official decided not to face the press and just issued a brief statement.
“The President has formed his communications team. He is confident this team will fulfill its task to communicate the President’s contract with the Filipino people with the stakeholders of government,” the statement read.
He further said the reorganization of the Office of the Press Secretary is being finalized and its members will be formally announced if the Executive Order is signed. (Jill Beltran/Sunnex)
