During the press conference of his new show "Precious Heart Romances presents: Midnight Phantom", he said he does not know if he is capable of being in a relationship right now.
“Hindi ko na alam kung kaya ko pa talaga yung responsibility,” he said, adding that he is just living his life to the fullest.
Rafael had a rough year in 2009 after he and long time girlfriend Malaya Lewandowski broke up.
“But it's all in the past and I've learned how to forgive and forget,” he added.
When pressed on the real score between him and actress Denise, Rafael said: “We've been hanging out, sometimes with Direk Cathy and the rest of the Bud Brothers.”
But he does not want to put any label on it, saying they are really close friends and have known each other since childhood.
“We call each other Boogie and we have a solid bond,” he said.
Aside from "Midnight Phantom", Denise and Rafael will star in the upcoming Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Kristine Series topbilled by Zanjoe Marudo and Cristine Reyes. (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
